The Crazy Parson, a beaten favourite last time out, is fancied to make a jaunt across the Irish Sea worthwhile with victory here; Innisfree looks his biggest danger. The market will help guide to the chances of the likely favourite, but with Tony Dobbin booked the eight-year-old can get off the mark at the fourteenth attempt. He seems to act on any ground and it is likely that a repeat of his run last time out would be good enough to suffice today. Harlov and Innisfree are two course and distance winners but with the former being out of form, it may be that Innisfree is a bigger threat. He disappointed at Perth last time out but was unfancied that day and is perhaps better judged on his Cartmel win two runs ago. Good ground suits and he looks poised to run well. Mister Magnum has a nice racing weight but has plenty to find with most of these, whilst Karo De Vindecy is consistent but tends to find at least one too good. Sports Express returns from a break but he has needed the run in the past and so we have no problem with returning to The Crazy Parson as the selection.
