In depth

Verdict

Frankie Figg and Harcas could be the two to concentrate on here and narrow preference is for the first-named; Oh Yah dancer makes it to the shortlist also. The selection comes here on the back of a win at Hexham when dictating the pace throughout. Whilst that means that he has to carry a winners penalty, it also shows that he comes here in good form and having jumped out to his left around the tight turns of Hexham, he should be suited by this picturesque course. Ethan's Star let down favourite backers last time with an average performance on his British debut, whilst Harcas is another recent beaten favourite and seems to be struggling since winning a mediocre Perth contest back in July. Oh Yah Dancer gets plenty of weight from his main rivals and this hurdling debutante comes from a yard who know how to ready a newcomer. The betting will help regarding his chances, but bought for 40,000 euros he is unlikely to disgrace himself. At a price Mr Floppy could go well as he is fairly unexposed, however Frankie Figg looks one to follow and is fancied to score.
