In depth

Verdict

San Dimas had both Bodfari Signet and Plenty Courage behind when winning over course and distance two weeks ago but is often best caught fresh and on the revised terms we prefer to side with Plenty Courage, who is entitled to strip fitter today. The son of Gildoran was having his first outing since June that day and looked in need of the run so it is to his credit that the nine-year-old finished as close up as he did. Book's Way holds Son of Snurge on running at Hexham last time but this looks tougher, while Extra Proud has shown little sign of encouragement in recent outings. This looks best left to Plenty Courage then, who makes plenty of appeal at the forecast odds.
