In depth

Verdict

By far the best of these over hurdles, Flame Creek showed his worth over the larger obstacles when last seen in May and it will be a major surprise if Noel Chance's gelding cannot give weight and a beating to his two rivals of whom The Tinker is preferred for the forecast spot to Skiddaw Rose. The last mentioned, a 78-rated hurdler, looks to be completely out of her depth but if jumping round should at least collect for third place prize money. The Tinker has shown some ability and has earned a rating of 92 over fences but has it to do to beat a gelding rated more than 60lbs his superior over hurdles. Flame Creek has yet to achieve a similar level of ability over the larger obstacles but a reproduction of previous efforts at Bangor and Wetherby should more than suffice.
