        Verdict

        Sculastic, an unexposed performer on the level when with Luca Cumani, showed enough on his hurdling debut at Musselburgh in December to suggest that a reproduction of that form should be enough to win this with the main threats looking to be Millie The Filly and Something Simple. The last mentioned lost his way on the level and showed little sign of encouragement on his hurdling debut at Ayr so he is probably best left out of calculations. Lucinda Russell's Psychic Star would have claims if able to reproduce the pick of his flat form but he is another that has lost his way and has given little sign of encouragement over timber. English City is best left out of calculations and a bigger threat is likely to come from former bumper performer Millie The Filly. In a race that lacks any real strength in depth though, Sculastic has solid claims and is hard to oppose.
