Verdict

It's almost eight years since Downpatrick winner Deputy Consort last ran in this country and he looks to be facing a stiff task at the weights. Kai Broon has been off the track for a while but there are possibilities about Bene Lad, a winner at Ayr in February, though he appears held by JACK THE GENT on a line through Wilde Pastures. George Moore's nine-year-old is certainly built to jump fences and has been knocking on the door. His second to Conquisto at Southwell last month looks the best form on offer and he can finally open his account. Saddle Pack has ability but is hard to predict and none of the others make much appeal on what they've shown recently.
