Verdict

LORD DU MESNIL is 0-10 over hurdles and making his seasonal reappearance but he developed into a very smart staying chaser last season and is rated 36lb higher over fences than Aloomomo. Course winner Franks Fancy couldn’t cope with a penalty at Carlisle and again carries 7lb extra but this step up in trip should suit Wetherby third Sunset West and he’s preferred to fellow points winner Erne River and Bowderek, who was flattered by her proximity to Linelee King here last time.
