Verdict

This is the time of year for the Sandy Thompson yard to move into gear and DOYEN BREED is taken to defy topweight on his seasonal reappearance. He enjoyed a progressive campaign last term, culminating in a fifth-placed finish in Grade 1 company at Aintree. He's the one to beat if stripping fit and ready for this reappearance run and could well be one to watch this term. Into Overdrive is an interesting and unexposed opponent and it will be intriguing to see what the market makes of him on his handicap bow. Happy Hollow and Pammi both arrive in good form and can get involved but Sultans Pride may need this first outing for over 200 days.
