Prince of Slane gets the vote over Chickapeakray, with Piraeus, Ballynure and Bywell Beau other leading contenders. Prince of Slane has not been seen since landing the Durham National at Sedgefield in May, but hails from a yard with plenty of Flat runners at its disposal as well, so would not have been idle in the interim, with plenty of stablemates to work with. He is also very well treated compared to his chase mark and is set to go close. Chickapeakray absolutely bolted up in a Fakenham selling handicap last time and at the age of four has a bit more scope than the rest so has to be of interest, while Piraeus had the measure of Ballynure when they met at Newcastle, but failed to defy a penalty at Sedgefield next time. There should not be too much between the pair this time, and along with Bywell Beau, who was put in his place by the odds-on King Of Confusion here last time, can figure somewhere. Prince Of Slane could be well in though and is worth chancing before he goes back over fences.
