Verdict

Truckers Tavern looks the obvious selection taking into account his love of bottomless ground. His fourth at the Cheltenham Festival represents the most superior form in the race though he races here over a mile more than he has run in competitive chases. If there is a chink in his armour it will be found by the in-form Ryalux, the TEAMtalk selection. Supremely consistent he stays this trip well, seems to go on any ground and runs for a flying stable. Weaver George and Running Moss are both local heroes at Kelso and are both capable on soft ground. Both should be spot on here following indifferent performances last time out and the latter has won a better race than this at this track last season.
