In depth

Verdict

IMPULSIVE ONE, a fair fourth is arguably a better race here in December, houses solid claims on that effort alone, but the Henderson gelding also impressed when scoring previously over course and distance. He's only 3lb higher than when successful and further drying conditions will be in his favour. Marada was last seen in March 2021 but Dan Skelton is adept at bringing charges back from an absence and this dual course and distance winner must be carefully noted in the market on this return to work. Aggagio, back to form with a Leicester success after a couple of disappointments, should be competitive off a 5lb higher mark, although this does rate a better contest, whilst Head Law and Homme Public add further spice to a good contest and Whizz Kid is an each-way option at a price.
