Verdict

SALIX (NAP) is taken to score in a contest where the more unexposed types make most appeal. His fourth of six on handicap debut at Towcester doesn't tell the whole story as he was only beaten a length and a half by the winner, his finishing effort suggesting that this step-up in trip by half a mile is going to be in his favour. He runs off an unchanged mark and should go well. Echo Express, another unexposed contender in the line-up could also be a leading player after blowing away the cobwebs last time when seventh at Perth after a break, His novice hurdle form brings him into contention off his current mark. Scented Lily was going on well enough when falling at the last on her latest start and is going the right way, whilst Norse Light and Best Practice, the latter also unexposed, are others to note.
