In depth

Verdict

A low grade handicap to close the day's proceedings but it still provides a competitive getting-out stakes for punters. Marked Man left previous efforts behind when stepped up to this trip to score readily at Aintree in November but hasn't been out since and will find this tough following a subsequent 10lb rise. Cash For Questions had been disappointing before taking full advantage of a lenient mark when a battling winner at Doncaster last month. Richard Fahey's charge remains fairly rated and is entitled to go close while Rose Tina and Circle Of Wolves are others to consider off their current marks which compare favourably to past form but the tentative vote goes to Cool Roxy. The son of Environment Friend landed a Fakenham handicap in November before running well in the face of a stiff task to finish second over this trip in a useful novice event on a return visit the following month. Unexposed at this distance, there should be more to come from the six-year-old who goes well for today's conditional rider.
