Roofing Spirit can beat Jefertiti and Master Papa, with My Galliano best of the rest. Roofing Spirit won like a good thing at Folkestone 11 days ago, proving a revelation dropped in trip, and although set to shoulder a seven-pound penalty, will take all the beating now that connections have found the key to him. His Jumping will stand him in good stead, and this progressive sort can give his up-and-coming trainer another winner. Jefertiti appears to be the main danger judged on his two all-the-way wins over fences, and to be fair he will find this easier than when taking on Oneway at Haydock last time. However, his front-running style will suit the selection who should be able to pick him off at the business end. Master Papa has so far failed to score over fences and only has the one pace, while My Galliano was virtually tailed off on his last outing over fences in November. All in all, Roofing Spirit has plenty going for him and can follow up under Mick Fitzgerald.
