Atlantis gets the vote over Scarface,Malmo Boy, Red Return and Moss Run in the opening event on the card. With Gary Moore's team still in good form, hopes are high that Atlantis can go one better than on his latest start at Fontwell in December. To be fair, that was only the six-year-old's sixth outing over timber, and although he has failed to progress since being pitched in against Marcel and company at Chepstow in October, he should be good enough to win a run-of-the-mill contest such as this. He was successful over a mile and a quarter on the level in Germany in 2003, and as long as his stamina lasts out here, he can pay to follow. Scarface was a disappointment himself when sent off as an odds-on favourite at Uttoxeter last time, but we know his stable has a knack of overcoming such setbacks and it would be no surprise if he made more of a fist of it this time. However, at the likely odds on offer, he is opposed. Malmo Boy opened his account at Plumpton in November and is on a fair mark at present. He can give the selection most to do before eventually embarking on a fencing career. Red Return has looked woefully one-paced so far, while Moss Run has no improvement left surely, at the age of 11. For the winner we shall rely on Atlantis.
