Epitre is going the right way and can improve enough to see off Rescind, with Son of Greek Myth and Garnett worth a mention. A Group winner on the level in France a few years ago, Alan King's eight-year-old Epitre has disappointed in the main since being sent hurdling, but the decision to drop him back to the minimum saw an improved performance at Wincanton as he chased home Oracle des Mottes. The latter is entered up in better company at the weekend and the selection is taken to frank the form by opening his account here, with conditions seemingly in his favour. Rescind looked the likely winner when eventually finishing second at Sedgefield last time, but lost out in a driving finish. Jed O'Keeffe's mare had the third 12 lengths away though so can be expected to make her presence felt as well. Son of Greek Myth was third at Fakenham in November and had a spin on the all-weather just last week. That should ensure that he is fit, but his form is not good enough and Garnett makes more appeal. He too has been in action on the Flat of late, and has a win over hurdles at Huntingdon in October to his credit. Epitre can finally open his account.
