Verdict
Not much public form to go on and, as ever in this type of event, the market will provide further clues but Eric's Charm sets a fair standard and gets the vote. Oliver Sherwood's charge made an impressive winning debut at Fontwell last month on similar ground and can only improve with the experience behind him. Previous winners What A Monday and Cleopatras Therapy had their limitations exposed last time while High Places returns from a lengthy absence. John Mackie has his team in good order at present and it would be no surprise if newcomer Station Island, who makes some appeal on breeding, could make an impact at this level and should be closely monitored.
