Verdict

Recent point-to-point winner Gallant Glen is taken to defy his 4lb penalty and beat Cinnamon Club and Pangeran, who look the main dangers. The best of these on official BHB ratings, the selection has failed to win over regulation fences since scoring in a handicap chase at Ballinrobe two years ago but recent form between the flags suggests that the 10-year-old retains plenty of ability and, against some poor looking opposition, he looks the one to be on. Cinnamon Club comes into this following a couple on wins in point-to-point company but had run poorly at Fakenham previously and is probably best watched. Pangeran has shown enough in the past in similar company, and between the flags recently, to suggest that he can go close here and is taken to chase home the selection. Rustic Revelry, second at Cheltenham last month, looks the best of the remainder.
