Verdict

Retrospect, who won over 2m on the all-weather in the autumn, is an interesting newcomer with Brian Hughes riding on his first run for new connections. Clear White Light made a winning start over hurdles here earlier in the month but FRINGILL DIKE has the stronger form finishing second to the 134-rated Barrichello at Newcastle in February before beating a previous winner here last month. Hard Iron only ran twice in bumpers and should make a better hurdler.
