In depth

Verdict

Getaway Bay won at Uttoxeter last summer but has not reproduced that form while Ex S'elance tries a new trip and Storm Force One has had plenty of chances. Ribeye wasn’t winning out of turn at Newcastle but an 8lb rise looks harsh. Atomic Angel won here over the winter and later at Sedgefield but JOHNSON’S BLUE is only five and generally progressive. Last month’s course winner looked ready for a step up in trip when second last time at Newcastle.
