In a modest heat, the vote goes to Saffronto ahead of Tobesure, You'Re The Man, Web Master, Mill Emerald, Mr Christie and Dennis The Mennis. The selection is just that because he remains unexposed. He steps up in trip today after finishing a fair fourth behind Diamond Sal at Musselburgh last time, which should suit and, already a winning pointer, would not have to rate too highly over hurdles to play a big part in this today. Tobesure comes here in fair form after his Kelso run and should get amongst the money at least, and he had Web Master behind him there, and he is also nine pounds better off with You'Re The Man for the length-and-a-quarter he finished behind that horse in this race last year. Mr Christie is, of course, always a force to be reckoned with at this level if in a good mood, Jansue Charlie is out of form, and Mill Emerald won from a higher mark at Uttoxeter last May but has not really built on that yet. Finally, Dennis The Mennis won a Newcastle seller from today's mark and ran fairly well last time, although the feeling is that more is needed again. Overall, though, we will side with Saffronto.
