Peter Monteith's Corky Dancer was good value for his debut success at Kelso in October but struggled under his penalty at Perth subsequently and may do so again as may Alan Swinbank's Noble Scholar, who has improved with each start and won well enough at Sedgefield last time, so it may be worth siding with CIANNTE on his rules debut. Stuart Crawford's gelding has shown progressive form in Irish points, winning well on his most recent start, and can carry on winning ways back under rules having run promisingly on his debut in a bumper when a close up third at Perth just over a year ago. Sue Smith introduces a son of Luso in Alta Rock, who is probably watched first time up, while La Bacouetteuse has the benefit of experience but probably needs to improve to trouble the judge. Don McCain's Kalulushi has shown gradual improvement in points and has to be respected but marginal preference is for a runner with similar claims, Ciannte.
