QUIVVY BRIDGE is in good form and is taken to land this for James Lambe, while Stuff Of Dreams looks her most interesting opponent. The latter, now in the care of Ferdy Murphy, has not seen a racecourse since running in her native France some 16 months ago. She has not yet jumped a British hurdle in public, nor has she raced on good ground, so there is a bit to prove, and her trainer is likely to leave something to work on. Josephine Malines won a Cartmel maiden hurdle on good going in July and the handicapper has rated her 110, though given her recent flat form that may be an overestimation of her ability and today will tell us more. Honeygrove is an interesting debutant for trainer Donald McCain, who does well with his female runners. She is a bit long-in-the-tooth to be seeing the racecourse for the first time at eight-years-old, but she is related to some winning stock including the useful hurdler Honeygrove Banker and money for her would make her of even more interest. Give A Little should be better for this drop back in trip and has enough ability to make her presence felt, but we prefer the claims of Quivvy Bridge. This consistent mare has won three of her last six races, including over course and distance on good ground in the summer. She won't mind dropping back in distance after winning here over three miles last time and she looks the most solid option for punters.
