Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

A contest that looks extremely open and the tentative vote goes to Schinken Otto ahead of Neutrino and Yo Pedro. Malcolm Jefferson's six-year-old has finished third on his past two starts and has a good strike-rate over fences. However, whilst he is yet to win in ten starts over timber, it means that he is non a very attractive mark (over 20lbs lower) now back over hurdles. Neutrino is a course and distance winner and is unlikely to want for fitness having been kept busy on the flat before his little refreshing break. Nifty Roy is better than his last outing and should improve significantly for the run, whilst Only Words is experienced and cannot be ruled out. Bold Pioneer has been in good form in selling handicap hurdles, whilst New Wish has ability but he has a very poor strike-rate as well. An open handicap, in which narrow preference is for Schinken Otto.
