In depth

Verdict

Forest Silver is the one to beat, with Ghaill Force and Ouragan Lagrange the ones to chase him home. Forest Silver has progressed through the bumper ranks, and came good at the seventh time of asking over the course-and-distance in June, beating the more fancied Cockatoo narrowly. That was a moderate affair, but so is this, and the Seamus Mullins-trained inmate should be well up to defying a penalty despite being off the track a while. Ghaill Force is fitter, having been in action over the past month, and has been very consistent. He cannot get his head in front though, so maybe this longer trip will help. He is the main threat ahead of Ouragan Lagrange who has some scope, but who lacks experience. The rest make no appeal, and Forest Silver is the one to be on.
