In depth

Verdict

Landmarque was disqualified after finishing first past the post in a point in Ireland but disappointed on his first start over fences for James Ewart at Ayr. Bescot Springs alternates between hurdles and fences and made most for a comprehensive victory over timber on this track last month so a 5lb rise shouldn't prevent another big run. Master Rajeem looked back to something like his best at Sedgefield and has won from much higher marks but this can go to FLEMERINA. Sue Smith's mare won a handicap at Sedgefield in January and showed on her return to action at Market Rasen that she's still on a fair mark. Turtle Cask would have a chance at his best under the in-form Brian Hughes.
