    Verdict

Virnon loves testing ground as he showed when completing a Carlisle double just over a year ago. He didn't get far on his chasing bow at Sedgefield last month but My Little Cracker beat three rivals very easily on heavy going here in March and followed up in equally testing conditions at Southwell. She hasn't made much progress in handicaps but has dropped to what looks a fair mark. Eastview Boy has been a disappointment since his victory on heavy going at Newcastle in March though he's been racing over further. ALIZEE DE JANEIRO looked one to follow after two victories over hurdles at Kelso around this time a year ago but went up too much in the weights. She's now on a lenient mark following defeats over much longer trips. She was beaten a head by Clan Legend over timber at Kelso and though the latter won three times subsequently Lucinda Russell's mare is a massive 19lb better off with the winner, who makes her chasing debut.
