Verdict
FOUNDATION MAN is hardly a confident selection in a low-key opener but he was second at Stratford over a similar trip in October after winning over 2m4f at Warwick and 10lb claimer Jack Savage is his regular partner nowadays. Great Link was entitled to need his comeback run at Catterick and should do better here but Phangio was never traveling at Ludlow after winning a small race at Chepstow. Violets Boy has gone backwards since a second at Southwell in September.
