A hugely competitive handicap chase with six of the contenders racing from out of the handicap. Fred Bojangals caused quite a shock when landing a Sedgefield handicap chase last time but the step back up to 2m 4f and the drying ground conditions appeared the key to his success. Up 9lb for his Sedgefield success, he should relish this extended 3m trip on offer here and is a speculative selection in what is basically a lottery. Dad's Army is a very lightly raced sort and open to improvement. He landed an awful novice chase on his most recent outing when in behind was the ultra-frustrating Piran. On a line through Stoneriggs Merc, Letham Present has the beating of the selection, however, he is very one-paced and in-consistent. Mooramana is a potential outsider who could go well. He returned to the track in early April after a long spell on the sidelines. Whether an injury prone horse can cope with these quick conditions is debatable but he did reserve his best for fast ground in the past. Support for Monashee Grey would be significant while Got The Gift is an unknown on the ground but given his sire, it would be no surprise to see act well on it today. Fred Bojangals gets the vote.
