In depth

Verdict

Wait For The Will can take the honours in the opener with Splinter Group and Perfect Storm deemed the biggest dangers. The selection represents Gary Moore whose strike rate in this grade over the past five seasons is verging on one in four. He's no stranger to success at this venue either whilst his veteran performer is a course and distance winner who has one of the highest official ratings in the race. Soldiers Quest has a higher rating by virtue of some smart form in his past but he doesn't look capable of performing to that level at present and is best watched unless the money arrives. Go On Ahead, a bumper winner, and Splinter Group are others to keep an eye on in the market with the latter interesting as he drops in grade for a trainer who has won with four of his nine runners here. Perfect Storm has a bit to find at the weights but should run his race but the selection is pretty reliable too and Wait For The Will rates a confident selection.
