Verdict

ANNIES REGATTA has taken time to settle into life as hurdler but she's on the improve and should prove competitive off her unchanged mark after hunting up Durragh at Perth last time. Melburnian makes a first start for Rebecca Menzies and a first start since leaving Tony Martin in Ireland. Interestingly, he also has a first run over hurdles for well over 500 days and the market should reflect his chance. The same comments also apply to the lightly-raced High Sheriff, who has a first run for the Gillian Boanas team. Charle Brune didn't fare too badly on his comeback run on the Flat recently and has place claims along with Chemical Warfare.
