SHAKALAKABOOMBOOM can take this race at the expense of Oscar Gogo and Ring For Time. Tony McCoy's booking is nothing but a positive for the Nicky Henderson inmate. Second under similar conditions at Towcester, there could be plenty more to come. Oscar Gogo has to try and conceed a winners' penalty all around. The race he won at Chepstow was a handicap while this race sees him attempting to give weight to unexposed novices. Dai Burchell had a winner on the flat earlier in the week so there is no query in relation to the stable form. As a daughter of Karinga Bay, there is a hope of Ring For TIme being able to handle the going although the formbook may read differently. Keep Guessing has a nice blood line as a hybrid between National Hunt stamina and flat speed. He has been easy to back on two starts and may be one to note for handicaps. Magusta is tried in a tonguestrap and will need to have improved from all racecourse evidence thus far. The remainder appear to be making up the numbers. Shakalakaboomboom is the selection in a race where the ability to handle the prevailing going will prove paramount.
