A weak contest can go to Just Midas, while Oro Street, Tyrrellspass and Roman King are not out of it either. Martin Pipe worked his usual magic when Just Midas joined the team, sending him out to land consecutive races in this type of company last summer. The gelding struggled after going up the weights after that though and is obviously no world-beater. Given a break since September, he should be ready to run well now and might be good for another success. What they do with him afterwards is anybody's guess but it is now we are concerned with, and he can make the most of the seven pounds that he receives from Oro Street. The latter has not won for four years but showed a glimmer of ability at Ludlow on Sunday when third to Diamond Orchid. He is a bit better handicapped these days and should go well. Tyrrellspass ran on well when runner-up to Alsyati at Chepstow in March and is another to consider, while the market may prove the best guide to the chance of Roman King who returns from a lengthy break. Not everything Pipe touches turns to gold, but Just Midas may pay to follow here.
