A pin-stickers' bumper rounds off proceedings, with fewer than half of these having raced before, and we'll side with experience, preferring LANNACOMBE CLOVER to Springtree, with Giordano Bruno looking the pick of the newcomers. The selection hasn't run since being runner up on debut here in May; no winners have subsequently come out of that race and we're taking on trust he can handle the ground. Springtree's not been seen since March when fourth on debut at Warwick, and a number of rivals that day have subsequently won. Of the newcomers, Giordano Bruno has some appeal. He cost 44 thousand Euro 18 months ago, and Phillip Hobbs has a decent record in this sort of race. It would be minimum stakes for us, and a market watch is essential given the newcomers, but tentatively we'll suggest the winner could be Lannacombe Clover.
