    Verdict

The betting should prove instructive here, and from a shortlist containing Zanzibar Boy and Surfboard, we will side with the former. The selection was fourth in a fair Newbury bumper on his debut, from which the runner-up has won since, and with the opposition looking modest, he looks to have been found a fairly soft option by connections. The danger could well prove to be Paul Blockley's Surfboard, who is well-related and cost 90,000 guineas as a yearling. Of the others, Post It (albeit over shorter trips) and Foxtrot Yankee have shown a modicum of promise, while Best Of The Blues is related to winners, but at trips short of a mile. Jump For Paddy has been showing up in the pointing fields, so watch the betting with regard to his chances, and it would be no surprise top see Just Percy improve on his debut effort. Overall, though, in what is, overall, a modest race, we will side with Zanzibar Boy, but keep a close eye on the betting.
