Verdict

This looks to be a three-horse race, the trio being Rattina, Captain Hardy and Woodenbridge Dream, with the vote going to Captain Hardy. The selection, who has won over hurdles, put in a fair run from a one-pound higher mark over fences at Folkestone last time and a repeat effort gets him firmly on the premises. A repeat of Rattina's Ludlow second last time would give her a chance, although she has been very lightly raced over the last three years, and Woodenbridge Dream, who won from a nine-pound lower mark two runs ago but who was beaten from his revised mark last time, must be considered at this type of level. Of the others, Zazimabad showed some improvement last time, but a good bit more will be needed again. Once again, then, the selection is Captain Hardy.
