There is only a small field here, but this is not the easiest of races to solve, with Dantie Boy given another chance to fulfil earlier promise and get the better of Red Sun and Don't Sioux Me. The last-mentioned failed to progress after having made a winning debut for Henry Cecil on the flat and has gone a similar way over hurdles although the faster surface here may help. Red Sun has claims on the form of his two-and-a-half length defeat of Mixsterthetrixster at Doncaster in December but has disappointed since, while Burning Truth seems plenty high enough in the weights at present. Lord Native has shown very little sign of retaining much ability on his two runs since returning form an absence and, with Georgian having more to do than when winning a seller last time, the vote goes to Dantie Boy. Admittedly the Philip Hobbs-trained gelding has been expensive to follow of late but the son of Phardante showed enough when second to Robyn Alexander at Taunton in March to suggest that he can play a part at this level.
