The Masareti Kid is overdue a win and is fancied to oblige over topweight Compton Chick and Designer Label. The Venetia Williams inmate picked up a couple of bumpers last year when trained by Alan Swinbank, and did not see the track for new connections until June when third in a maiden hurdle at Newton Abbot. In need of the run then, he has occupied the same position in his two subsequent outings, and looks more of a chaser in the making, but the trip will be in his favour, and he should now be ready to hit wining form. Compton Chick has to give weight away all round, but has already won a couple of times over fences, and was a little unlucky in running at Fontwell last time. She will be fancied, while Designer Label has not had much racing and although having some scope, may need another race or two for the penny to drop. Captain O'Neill is well held by Compton Chick on Worcester running and the rest have nothing to commend them, so for the winner we return to The Masareti Kid.
