In depth

Verdict

Baloo looks the best prospect in this weak novice chase, Underwriter and Combat Drinker look to be the main rivals. Jimmy Frost's nine-year-old landed a four runner handicap at Newton Abbot in August and wasn't disgraced last time in a decent event at Cheltenham. He will find this company much less taxing and he looks the best option. Underwriter was going pretty well before unseating his rider at the second from home in the race wion by Celtic Blaze. That was his chase debut and he will have learnt from the experience. Combat Drinker wasn't beaten far behind Pass Me By at Carlisle last time and should appreciate this extra distance. The best of the rest could be Superrollercoaster, but our idea of the winner is Baloo.
