The opening maiden hurdle looks to be between Pass It On, Briscoe Place and Wenlocks Wonder with preference for Pass It On. He was fourth in a Sandown novices' hurdle last month following a long lay off, staying on at the end having been dropped out off the pace. He was set plenty to do that day and ran a promising race, looks certain to come on from that and is our selection in the opener under AP McCoy. Wenlocks Wonder was well beaten on his first two starts over hurdles but ran a creditable second behind Paro at Ludlow in February. However, the form of that race does not look strong and others are preferred. Briscoe Place was a well-beaten fourth in a hot Warwick, maiden-hurdle last time out. He had previously won a fast ground Worcester-bumper on fast ground. He comes here with a live chance but looks to be the stables second-string and so we return to our selection in the first, Pass It On.
