WINTER STAR is taken to get back to winning ways at the expense of Stellenbosch and Songmaster. The selection racked up a hat-trick of wins before running with credit when third behind Tot Of The Knar at Stratford last time out. That was a fair effort in defeat and although he has lots of weight to give all round here this race is not as competitive so he can win again. Stellenbosch has been a model of consistency since embarking on a hurdles career. He was rated as high as 70 on the Flat and should have possibly won more races than he has over hurdles. He scored at Fontwell back in May and although he has been a beaten favourite the last twice he should be in the shake up once again. Songmaster has only performed moderately on the flat this summer. He disappointed at Bath off a mark of 57 but had performed with credit in the past and coming from a top stable he has to given respect. But for the winner return to Winter Star.
