In depth

Verdict

A market check's advised but likely looking sorts are Like A Hurricane, Nono Le Sage, Thompson, Nothing's Easy and our selection Kauto Le Roc. The selection's dam is a half-sister to the dam of the useful Kauto Star so hails from a decent family and Alan King's gelding is a half-brother to a winning chaser. He should know what's required of him this afternoon. Rain would be a concern for form pick Like A Hurricane who has shown a decent standard of form on two of his three starts with his below par run coming on soft ground at Exeter; he sets a decent standard. Timmy Murphy is a notable booking for Nothing's Easy and it would be no surprise were Liam Corcoran's stoutly bred gelding nibbled at in the market. The market should shed some much needed light on this and Kauto Le Roc can only be a nominal call.
