Richard Hannon has his string in fine form at present and his representative here Party In The Park has been given a chance by the handicapper so has to be respected but he may struggle to give weight away all round and preference is for Maggie Kate, who gets the vote over Charmel's Lad. The last mentioned ran better on his debut in a handicap at Wolverhampton when dropped to six furlongs last time and Walter Swinburn's gelding has to be respected. Serious Choice looks the pick of the trio in this contest that is making their first start in a handicap but more appeal is made by recent Kempton winner Thomas Malory, although he has paid the penalty for that success at the hands of the handicapper. The vote though goes to Roger Ingram's Maggie Kate who has shown a consistent level of form of late and remains feasibly well treated.
