In depth

Verdict

PACHA DU POLDER won over 2m4f at Wincanton last year and wasn’t disgraced later over further in decent company, including when fifth in the Foxhunter Chase at Cheltenham last March. He’s having his first run since August and is ridden for the first time by Bryony Frost but she has bags of experience and her mount’s class can see him home. Simply Wings has useful form when completing but he’s been off the track for the best part of 12 months ago. Grandioso, Lord Ben and Richmond filled the places behind Barel Of Laughs at Taunton three weeks ago, however, so won’t lack fitness and Irish import Nickname Exit could be interesting on his first start for new connections. Toby Lerone would also have a squeak on his best form.
