      Verdict

      Waterlord was impressive at Bangor but may not have had much to beat. RAVENSDALE (NAP) was having only his second start under Rules when winning over a longer trip here earlier this month. He handled the heavy going that day well enough and his proven stamina will be an asset today. Mahlervous beat a subsequent winner at Southwell so is preferred to Newcastle maiden winner Treshnish and Saint Freule, who is tried in headgear after disappointing at Ayr.
