Many of these have been plying their trade on the all-weather, with mixed success. With Respect only won a Class 6 at Southwell in February but has won on Turf as has the more recent Southwell winner Papa Cocktail. Redzone hinted at a return to form at Newcastle but DREAM TOGETHER (NAP) is 9lb lower than when landing this 12 months ago and ran well again at the track in July – he may have been aimed at the race again. At the opposite end of the handicap, Glorious Rio won’t fail through lack of fitness with Kats Bob and El Hibri also worth a second look. Mega Marvel has won twice on Tapeta but has not managed a place in six attempts on this surface.
