The market might provide some valuable clues for this race but, without that, we will nominate Horatio Carter ahead of Dharori and Gardes. Ones that have shown promise are Anscaribh, whose promise has come on soft going, Barbary Boy, who is entitled to come on for his Sandown debut, Farpedon, although the form of his Lingfield all-weather fourth is not hugely strong, Game Park, whose debut promise came on good to soft, and Gardes, who disappointed on the all-weather last time but who would come into the reckoning based on his good to soft debut run, and the Barry Hills-trained Hunt The Bottle. Of the newcomers, the most interesting are Mark Johnston's Change Alley, Michael Jarvis's 300,000 guineas son of Captain Rio, Dharori, Kevin Ryan's 61,000 guineas son of the same sire, Horatio Carter, yet another son of Captian Rio, Italian Art, and the David Barron-trained 28,000 guineas son of Diktat, Tito. Once again, then, for the selection, we return to Horatio Carter.
