A competitive field goes to post for this maiden and the market may be the best guide as to what is expected of the newcomers but the finish could involve Trench Coat, Tropical Storm and The Jobber and we will take a chance on Trench Coat. The colt from the Andrew Balding yard was a good second on his debut behind Fine Silver, he is sure to have learnt from the experience and under similar conditions he will be hard to beat. Tropical Storm is a well related Alharth gelding from a yard that can ready a newcomer and is worth noting in the market. The Jobber has plenty of experience and showed improved form when second behind Cairns last time out he is another that has definite place claims of the remainder Growler is from a shrewd yard and is worth noting in the market but we are happy to side with the highly promising Trench Coat.
