In depth

Verdict

Another wide open contest for punters to fathom but the main protagonists look to be Trick Cyclist, Night Pearl, Rules For Jokers and Tregarron and we will take a chance on Rules For Jokers. The colt from the Jamie Osborne yard was a good third behind Free Trip last time out and he gave the impression on that occasion that he would be suited by more cut in the ground so now that he has that here he is taken to score. Trick Cyclist rates the main danger he was a good second behind Matt Blanc last time but that form has since been let down and he may struggle off top weight. Night Pearl is one of the least exposed in the field and is from a yard in top form. She was a fair fourth behind Desprate Dan last time out over this trip but she gave the impression she would be seen to better effect over a longer trip so for that reason she is opposed on this occasion. Tregarron is another worthy of respect he has held his form of late and a reproduction of his latest second behind Free Trip over course and distance last time out and there is not much between him and the selection. Of the remainder Four Amigos has shown plenty of ability and the booking of Kevin Darley catches the eye but we are happy to side with Rules For Jokers under conditions that should suit.
