Pride of Nation, Goodbye Mr Bond and Tyzack are the three to consider here and Pride of Nation can win the day. Eric Alston's Goodbye Mr Bond should be thoroughly exposed after 44 starts but won in the style of a progressive performer at Ripon last time on ground similar to today's. He carries a three pound penalty here but that may not be enough to stop him. He looks sure to go well. Tyzack has won his last five but four of those have been at Southwell and he has yet to prove he handles such testing conditions. He appears to be handicapped on his all-weather form and is therefore harshly treated here. With three winners from his last seven runners, Luca Cumani is in terrific form and Pride of Nation can maintain that run of success. He won well at Bath on his seasonal debut, following up a success at Nottingham at the end of last season. He appears to have upset the handicapper who has raised him 11 pounds but it may not be enough to stop Pride of Nation registering another success.
